The inauguration of Teleport Control Station of Qatar Satellite Company (Es’hailSat) is another step by country towards realization of Qatar National Vision 2030.
By launching the station, Qatar has tremendously improved country’s communication system particularly for mass media. The inauguration is the continuity of accomplishing the vision of country’s wise leadership on Qatar’s all-encompassing development and progress that covers all sectors from food security to satellite technology.
In November last year, Qatar Satellite Company (Es’hailSat) had launched its Satellite Es’hail-2 from the SpaceX launch facility at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. These achievements also clearly indicate that Qatar’s march to glory is continued on a steady pace and all the obstacles created by the blockading countries to hamper Qatar’s growth have failed.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani inaugurated the Teleport Control Station of Qatar Satellite Company (Es’hailSat) in Al Ghuwairiya area on Thursday.
H E the Prime Minister and Interior Minister said the inauguration is a new achievement for Qatar which is steadily progressing in carrying out its strategic projects in accordance with its National Vision 2030 and under the sound directives of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
He also hailed the efforts exerted over the past years, which have so far resulted in the establishment of Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2 satellites, the Teleport is being celebrating today and the training and qualification of national cadres that have proved their capability and efficiency in this important vital sector.
The Teleport includes all the basic requirements to provide the best ground services and platform services for all customers of Es’hailSat Company which was keen to design a station that can be developed in the future to meet the needs of its customers. Es’hailSat CEO Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari delivered a speech on the occasion in which he stressed that the inauguration of the Teleport is an important step in the company’s plan to provide a safe and independent satellite service to meet all the requirements of its current and future customers.
“The launch of this Teleport will enable Es’hailSat to provide the best solutions to its customers in the region not only technically but also in terms of security, especially that Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2 satellites were designed with the latest anti-jamming technology,” Al Kuwari said.
The Teleport is designed according to the latest technologies to provide back-up studios for TV channels and serve as a disaster-recovery facility for broadcasters. It also will connect with the most important media means in the State of Qatar through its fibre-optic technology. Es’hailSat will broadcast a variety of major TV channels such as Al Jazeera and beIN as well Qatar Media Corporation’s channels.
