Qatar is well ahead

Qatar is committed to the development of health and well-being of its population. The country provides the best healthcare facilities available in the world to its people, both citizens and expatriates.

Not only Qatar is extending outstanding healthcare services, but also in the forefront of research and innovations in the field. The country’s various health sector authorities such as the Ministry of Public Health, Qatar Foundation, Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation, and World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) jointly push all possible efforts to improve the healthcare facilities and researches in the country.

Regularly these various organisations conduct and facilitate practitioners with latest and up to date and important research findings on several health streams. They conduct symposiums, conferences, workshops and other major health related events to educate the professionals and people about its benefits to lead a better healthy life. Almost every month, these organisations conduct workshops and seminars to highlight preventive interventions, improving the quality of care and help people modify lifestyle and reduce risk factors of chronic diseases. 

It’s also very significant that connecting global insight and research advancements into the local healthcare system for the betterment of health and well-being of people. The collaborative approach with other major healthcare organisations in the world will strengthen primary healthcare in the most inclusive and efficient manner. 

A recent survey suggests how well the people accept the health care system in the country. The survey was done to assess patient experience and satisfaction. Among the 7,373 participants who took part in the survey, a majority of over 95 percent of patients have expressed satisfaction over the healthcare services. The focus is not only on treatment, but also on prevention and engaging people to make lifestyle changes and it is the cornerstone of the healthcare system. 

Research is very important in enhancing care and services. So investment and engagement in research are important elements. This year was especially an important one for the sector in Qatar. The nation has undertaken large expansion plans for healthcare facilities, which included the opening of various primary healthcare centres in different parts of the country. These measures are meant to ensure that all residents receive high-quality care closer to their place of residence. 

Qatar’s health sector has undergone enormous expansion in recent years and provides a full range of high-quality healthcare services to the people. Qatar has also launched a set of healthcare guides aimed at helping the public choose the right services. Three specified manuals provide guidelines on what services to be sought by people according to the healthcare need of children, adult population and the elderly.  These positive measures show that Qatar is well ahead of other nations in this regard.
