The tremendous economic growth Qatar is being achieved in all aspects owing much to its quality infrastructure and also the team worked sincerely to finish all infrastructure works on time. The projects such as Hamad International Airport, Doha Metro, Hamad Port etc, were finished with remarkable success and undoubtedly they all played a pivotal role in enhancing economic growth. The completion of the first phase of Doha Metro, consisting of three lines and 37 main stations, is noteworthy.

Qatar Rail deserves huge round of applause for overcoming many of the challenges during the work with the help of advanced technology. The tunnels were built using 21 boring machines that dug a total of 110 kilometres in three years. The project was implemented ahead of schedule, in addition to reducing costs and without affecting the quality. Qatar is always concerned about the protection of environment and it tries to avoid environmental hazards during the implementation of each and every project.

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment established a partnership with the Qatar Transportation Center to reduce the environmental impact of the Metro and increase its efficiency by improving safety and reducing fuel consumption. Observing all the completed projects in Qatar will help one understand the vision and meticulous planning behind them. Better roads pave way for enhanced growth and Qatar’s huge potential for growth is the result of its highly connected and better roads. Thanks to Ashghal for completing a highway network of more than 750km bringing enhanced traffic flow across the traffic.

“The highways, completed by Ashghal, represent about 95 percent of the road network connecting the stadiums hosting the 2022 World Cup, which actually contributed to the arrival of the fans to a number of stadiums that hosted the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019 and 24th Gulf Cup,” President of Ashghal said in his speech during opening session of the World Congress of Engineering and Technology.

Ashghal continues to implement sustainable infrastructure for the State of Qatar, the country that has proven its place among the ranks of the most advanced countries in the world. Qatar is keen to give the infrastructure, construction and development sector the highest importance in line with the aspirations of the Qatar National Vision 2030. Yesterday, Ashghal also opened a new bridge and underpass at the Mesaimeer Interchange.

The opening resulted in removing the temporary traffic light that connects Rawdat Al Khail Street, Doha Expressway and Industrial Area Road, and they contributed to breaking traffic and achieving great traffic flow in the area.
