H E Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, met in Dhaka with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed. Minister Al Kaabi and Prime Minister Hasina discussed bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the State of Qatar, and means to further enhance cooperation between the two countries in the energy field. Bangladesh has been receiving Qatari LNG since April 2018, when Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) delivered its first cargo as part of a long-term, 2.5 million tonnes per annum Sale and Purchase Agreement with Petrobangla.
