The proposed site for new project at Barwa Al Baraha highlighted
Barwa Real Estate has awarded construction contract for Barwa Al Baraha Warehouses and Workshops projects, worth QR139.95m, to Qatar Building Engineering Co (QBEC).
The project that includes construction of 573 warehouses and some 135 workshops, is expected to be completed in 18 months. The project site is on the existing truck parking area of 684,134 square metre(sqm) within the extension of Barwa Al Baraha, located in the Industrial Area, Zone 91.The new project will provide suitable spaces to be used as warehouses for small and medium enterprises and also house mechanical and electrical workshops to meet the market demand. The project embraces a total construction built-up area around 193,000sqm, which includes construction of warehouses with an area 300sqm each, in addition to workshop space of 144sqm each.
The contract also covers the construction and upgrading of the infrastructure and all the services required for the project, including CCTV rooms, two electrical substations; internal roads and water and drainage networks, and surveillance camera installation.
