Doha: Doha and Umm Salal Municipality took an administrative decision to close certain restaurants and cafeterias in the area for violating Law No 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control.

Umm Salal Municipality ordered the closure of Petra Restaurant in the area for 30 days as it violated the above law.

Doha Municipality officials also found violations at First Gate Restaurant, T20 Cafeteria and Malappuram Cafeteria, all of which were issued order to close for five days.

When the closure notice is issued, it is not permissible to open the closed shop or to carry out any activity or maintenance, and a violation will entail criminal liability, warned the ministry.
