Building on its commitment to raising environmental awareness among Qatar communities, Doha Bank, one of the largest private commercial banks in Qatar, announced the successful conclusion of its largest CSR initiative, the Al Dana Green Run, which took place on March 29 at the Al Bidaa Park with a record turnout.
The event, which coincided with the commencement of this year’s Qatar National Sports Day celebrations, was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and was supported by Qatar Sports for all Federation (QSFA), Traffic Department, and Qatar Red Crescent.
The 14th edition of the annual 3-km run, was organized in partnership with Al Sulaiman Holding, Al Sulaiman Rent a car, Al Sulaiman Jewelry, Al Tawfeeq Travel, Baladna, McDonalds, Galler Chocolatier, Lulu Hypermarket and Al Rawda Water.
Deriving its name from Doha Bank’s flagship Al Dana Savings scheme, the Al Dana Green Run was organized this year to emphasize the Bank’s unwavering commitment and support to achieving Qatar’s 2030 vision, in line with its four pillars. It also aimed at raising awareness of the importance of sports and leading a healthy lifestyle.

Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank Group, extended his gratitude to all those who came together at the Al Dana Green Run, as a powerful expression of their trust in Doha Bank’s initiative and the underlying cause, and their loyalty to the nation. This year’s edition was designed with the aim of catering to the needs of the masses, from families to young individuals and groups, through the introduction of new features, such as six new categories of races for different age groups and social segments.

Members of the crowd and audience, who attended to cheer their friends and relatives, enjoyed free entertainment and a dedicated fun zone area for all ages.
