Commenting on the tournament, Mohammed Al Hamadi, Tournament Manager at AZF said: “Following its huge popularity last year, AZF and Ooredoo have once again worked together closely to bring back the Ooredoo Temba tournament for the second year running. The tournament builds on AZF’s strong, existing partnership with Ooredoo – an organisation that has shown it is always keen to work with AZF in support of our sporting mission.”
The pitches on which the tournament takes place are covered with high quality artificial football turf that meet FIFA’s exacting quality standards. They are also designed to help reduce water consumption, in line with AZF’s commitment to support the Environmental pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030 – designed to move the country towards greater sustainability and minimise environmental impact.
The semi-finals took place yesterday to determine which two of the four semi-finalists will move on to the final match, and which two will compete for third and fourth place.
The closing ceremony and final matches to decide first, second and third places will take place today at 7:30pm in the presence of senior officials from AZF and Ooredoo. Each member from the winning team will receive phones from Ooredoo, whilst second and third place winners will receive valuable cash prizes.
