Amman: Jordan's armed forces have intercepted five missiles and a drone targeting the country within the past 24 hours, authorities said.
In a statement on Monday, the Jordanian military said its air defenses successfully shot down all incoming projectiles, which they said were launched from Iran.
Meanwhile, the Public Security Directorate reported that a woman was injured after missile debris fell into the courtyard of her home in central Jordan.
Authorities added that emergency teams responded to around 20 reports of falling debris and projectiles across the country over the same period.
