Doha: The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final draw, to be held at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC) on Friday, April 1, is expected to be watched by more than 200 million people around the world, CEO of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Nasser Al Khater said.
Al Khater added that more than 350 television channels would be broadcasting the event live across the globe.
Commenting on the upcoming major event, Al Khater said it is awaited by all football fans around the world, especially fans of the teams that have already qualified as well as all players, coaches and technical staff that will be present at the event eagerly awaiting to know their groups and the teams they will face in the strongest football competition.
The Qatar 2022 CEO also confirmed that the World Cup draw process will be the most important stage before the start of the finals of the world's biggest football event.
Al Khater expressed his satisfaction with the preparations in place to organize the World Cup draw at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, one of the most prominent and fully equipped Qatari facility, hoping that the World Cup draw event will live up to the expectations of all.
He also hoped to see as many as seven Arab teams make it to the World Cup finals as this would represent a historic moment for the Arabian region, pointing out that the second leg qualifiers for the decisive round of the African continent may result in the qualification of four Arab teams.
Along with Qatar, Saudi Arabia have already qualified from the Asian continent and there is an opportunity for UAE to face the fifth South American qualifiers.
Al Khater also pointed out that the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 was an important milestone on the way to the World Cup during which the stadiums, operational plans and transportation plans were tested as well as the coordination of work teams.
