ACTA, French Anti-Corruption Agency sign MoU to increase cooperation

Paris: Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA) to enhance cooperation between them in the areas of acquiring various practical experiences and skills, and addressing all forms of corruption.

The MoU was signed by President of the ACTA H E Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad and Director of the AFA Charles Duchaine, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

The MoU aims to exchange experiences by arranging mutual working visits with the aim of reviewing the performance level of the national authorities concerned with the prevention of corruption, and acquiring various practical experiences and skills, because of its importance in discovering obstacles, monitor problems and cooperate to solve and prevent it.

In this context, the President of ACTA said that the Authority welcomes all forms of cooperation with relevant bodies and organizations to introduce the successful Qatari experience in preventing and combating corruption, and interaction with various international experiences, including the French experience.

He pointed to the growing awareness of the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in combating corruption and addressing all its forms, therefore, it has become necessary for all concerned parties to unite to address it through joint cooperation, praising communication and trust in the Qatari experience. The President of ACTA also expressed his certainty that the ideas that will be presented and emanating from this MoU will have a positive and effective impact on both sides.
