Doha: Minister of Commerce and Industry, H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, received yesterday a delegation of US mayors currently visiting the country. The delegation included Mayor of Miami, Florida, H E Francis Suarez; Mayor of Quincy, Illinois H E Kyle Moore and Mayor of Rochester Hills, Michigan, H E Bryan Barnett.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United States of America, H E Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad Al Thani, and Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Qatar H E, Ambassador Greta C Holtz.
During the meeting, the convening parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the commercial, investment, and industrial fields. They additionally touched on the opportunities available to increase trade exchange and develop investment and industrial relations between the two countries. The Minister of Commerce and Industry highlighted the economic policies that Qatar had adopted and the measures it had taken to abolish restrictions on foreign investment and create more opportunities for companies looking to invest in Qatar.
