Doha: Defending champion Mohamed El Shorbagy of Egypt dropped a game to Hong Kong’s Tsz Fung Yip but recovered in quick time to make it to the next round of the  2018 Qatar Classic in Doha yesterday.

The World No.1 took 34 minutes to win 11-3, 11-9, 6-11, 11-9. Also advancing to the next round were Borja Golan, Paul Coll, Mazen Hesham, Diego Elias, Adrian Waller, Tom Richards and Simon Rosner.
