Doha: The Doha Golf Club (DGC) for the first time hosted a 3-month Summer League ‘Beat The Heat’ for their Lady golfers, which was Ladies Captain Cherehzade Boocha’s innovative way to keep the ladies entertained and engaged with the game through the hot and humid summer.
As many as 18 ladies from different nationalities participated in the event which was held from July to September on the 9 hole Academy Course.
The DGC ladies division under Boocha thanked sponsors Pocari Sweat, Noon Beauty Centre and Casa Paco for their support.
It also congratulated Kaitlyn Talbot - overall winner, Harriet Simpson - runner up and Rukkaiya Pachisa - third place.
Doha Golf Club ladies’ section is a very active group of golfers comprising of over a 100 Lady Golfers who are growing the game through the excellent coaching and training programs offered by the club.
