Swansea University grants Honorary Doctorate to Minister of State and QFZA Chairman

Swansea University in Wales, UK, awarded H E Ahmad Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Free Zones Authority, an Honorary Doctorate, in recognition of his contribution to economic development around the world. The award was presented by Chancellor Dame Jean Thomas and the ceremony was attended by University delegates.

On receiving the award, the Minister said: “I am extremely grateful and honoured to have been awarded this Honorary Doctorate by Swansea University, and it is with the greatest pleasure that I accept it, not only for myself but on behalf of all those I have worked with.

“I regard it as a vote of support and recognition for our efforts in Qatar in promoting the highest standards of education in Qatar and worldwide, and to create a diversified and sustainable economy for the next generation.”
