Cabinet confirms Amir's talks with Egyptian President open new horizons

Doha: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
Following the meeting, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the following statement:
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet welcomed the results of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's official visit to Egypt on 24-25 June. The Cabinet confirmed that HH the Amir's talks with President HE Abdel Fattah El-Sisi have opened new horizons for developing bilateral relations and promoting joint Arab action.
The Cabinet noted HH the Amir's participation in the opening session of the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Kigali, Rwanda, on June 24 at the invitation of President of Rwanda HE Paul Kagame, as well his attendance to the opening ceremony of the 19th Oran 2022 Mediterranean Games in Oran, Algeria, on June 25 at the invitation of President of Algeria HE Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
After, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:
First - Approval of a draft Cabinet decision to reorganize the National Committee for Occupational Safety and Health.
Second - Approval of a draft decision of the Minister of Finance regarding tax and customs exemptions for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Third - Approval of a draft decision of the Minister of Finance specifying additional refund cases for selective tax.
Fourth - Approval of a draft decision of the Minister of Social Development and Family to issue forms of contract or document establishing private charitable associations and institutions and their respective statutes.
Fifth - Approval of the adoption of a draft decision of the Minister of Social Development and Family to form the Tender and Auctions Committee in the Ministry.
Sixth - The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decisions:
1- The first and second annual reports of the Statistics Advisory Committee.
2- Report No. 52 on the results of the work of the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons during the period from 1/1 to 30/4/2022.
3- Results of the 60th session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development (New York - Feb. 2022).
