DOHA:  Qatar Chamber’s First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari said that the State of Qatar has achieved significant successes in economy and the business environment, noting that this success has been driven by a number of sound policies established by the country’s wise leadership to open the economy, and attract investments into industries and sectors that will cement Qatar’s position as a leading regional trade and investment hub.

He pointed out that this success is also supported by legislative reforms and laws that streamlined doing business in the country and attracted more investments in most sectors.

This came during a meeting held at the Chamber’s venue yesterday with the International Businesses Delegation representing businessmen from India, Bangladesh, Mozambique, Philippines, Nepal, Canada, Malaysia and Singapore.

The event was organised by Qatar Chamber in cooperation with International Business Delegation Summit in Doha, Address Gateway company and ICC Qatar. Twar called on companies participating in the meeting to explore investment opportunities available in Qatar and to join hands with Qatari companies in development projects being undertaken within the framework of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and in preparations for host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

President of International Business Delegation Summit in Doha, Hassan Al Jaber, said that the IBD Summit is an initiative that we have started with one aim in mind - and that is to make it easier for business owners like you to open your doors here in Qatar.

He noted that the IBD has collaborated with Government agencies like the Chamber of Commerce and the Qatar National Tourism Council.

In turn, member of Bangladesh Parliament and President of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies, Benjir Ahmed, said that the IBD Summit provides a valuable opportunity for its members to discuss all business-related issues, affirming that it would play a crucial role in the development of world businesses.
