Qatar Red Crescent has strongly called for the dissociation of humanitarian action from political matters, stressing at the same time that the accusations against one of its employees are baseless.
The Red Crescent stressed in its statement today that it is a neutral and independent humanitarian organisation operating in Qatar and internationally. It is specialised in providing disaster relief assistance, providing healthcare services and other services to those affected by humanitarian crises.
The statement pointed out that Qatar Red Crescent pays special attention to obliging its employees and volunteers to the highest professional standards in humanitarian work, especially with regard to the impartiality, independence and integrity of Qatar Red Crescent.
