Stockholm: Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, who is heading a Shura Council delegation visiting the Kingdom of Sweden upon an invitation by the Swedish Parliament , paid a visit on Tuesday to he Swedish Riksdag.
During the visit, Her Excellency and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the expertise of the Swedish Parliament in parliamentary work with the aim of exchanging parliamentary experience.
Dr. Hamda and the accompanying delegation held several meetings with Swedish parliamentarians including First Deputy Speaker of the Swedish Parliament H E Asa Lindestam, Secretary-General of the Swedish Parliament H E Ingvar Mattson, member of the Swedish parliament and Head of the Swedish-Qatar Friendship Association (SQFA) H E Roger Haddad, member of the Swedish Parliament H E Cecilia Widegren.
During the meetings, they reviewed relations of bilateral cooperation between the Shura Council and the Swedish Parliament in various fields of parliamentary work and ways of strengthening and developing them as well as exchanging views on bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common interest.
