Doha, Qatar: QIIB hosted a special event featuring the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 trophy on display at its Grand Hamad Street headquarters. The event was held as part of QIIB’s role as a sponsor of the tournament, which is set to kick off in early December.
The event was attended by QIIB’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmed Al-Shaibei besides several senior executives, staff members and clients.
The event is part of a wider promotional campaign for the tournament, which will take place from December 1 to 18 across six stadiums that previously hosted matches during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
It also serves as an opportunity to strengthen community engagement and celebrate the major sporting achievements hosted by Qatar.
On this occasion, Dr Al-Shaibei stated: “We are proud to host the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 trophy at QIIB’s headquarters. This visit reflects our official sponsorship of the tournament and underscores our ongoing commitment to supporting sports in Qatar and reinforcing Doha’s position as a regional and global capital for sporting excellence.
“Hosting the trophy is more than a symbolic gesture. It is an opportunity to celebrate the core values of sport- teamwork, fair competition, and perseverance. These are principles that closely align with our corporate values and our responsibility to the community”.
Dr Al-Shaibei noted: “QIIB is the official sponsor of the national football teams and the Amir Cup for a three-year term, a reflection of our ongoing commitment to supporting national sports and strengthening their presence within the community”.

The occasion brought together QIIB staff and clients, who gathered around the trophy for photos and engaged in conversations about the upcoming tournament, from key highlights to its wider impact across the region and beyond.
