DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index lost 92.04 points, or 0.88 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 10,420.02 points.
Trading value during last week decreased by 46.74 percent to reach QR1.03bn compared to QR1.94bn.
Trading volume decreased by 35.72 percent to reach 410.66 million shares, as against 638.88 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 20.74 percent, to reach 29,544 transactions as compared to 37,273 transactions.
Market cap fell by 1.13 percent to reach QR576.61bn as compared to QR583.22bn at the end of previous week, reports QNA.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value last week with 37.51 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 24.28 percent. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 10.26 percent and Transportation sector accounted 9.37 percent.
Industries sector led traded volume last week with 31.44 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 23.20 percent.
Real Estate sector accounted for 20.65 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 13.16 percent.
Industries sector led traded number of transactions last week with 30.38 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 25.92 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 12.95 percent and Telecoms sector accounted for 12.55 percent. From the 46 listed companies 23 ended last week higher, while 18 fell and five unchanged.
QNB led trading value during last week accounted for 16.09 of the total traded value. Ooredoo accounted for 7.15 percent Qatar Navigation accounted 7.14 percent.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index dropped 21.02 points, or 0.2 percent, yesterday compared to Wednesday’s closing. The volume of shares traded increased to 99.43 million from 93.61 million on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR243.79m from QR229,464,566.23 on Wednesday.
From the 49 companies listed on QSE, shares of 47 saw trading yesterday.
