Doha, Qatar: Doha Municipality, in collaboration with the Qatar Red Crescent Society, organised an awareness lecture titled “Heat Stress” aimed at raising health awareness on the risks of heat-related illnesses and promoting preventive and emergency care practices during exposure to high temperatures.
The lecture highlighted the common symptoms of heat stress, methods of prevention, and the first aid procedures that should be followed in case of emergencies. The session was delivered through an interactive presentation by a specialized team from the Qatar Red Crescent. The event saw wide participation from engineers, supervisors, and workers from the Parks and Recreation Department, who showed strong interest and engagement with the topic.
This initiative forms part of Doha Municipality’s ongoing efforts to strengthen occupational safety culture and promote public health in the workplace environment.
