Doha: Strong rain and heavy wind was reported from many parts of Qatar in the evening.
Weather inshore in Qatar tonight until 6am on Wednesday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain at places, maybe thundery at places at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.
The weather bureau warned that some places around the country could witness heavy rain with sudden strong wind.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain at places may be thundery at times associated with strong wind and high seas at times, the report added.
Wind inshore will be mainly northeasterly at a speed of 5 to 15 or 25 knots with thundery rain. Offshore, it will be northeasterly to easterly at a speed of 10 to 20 knots, reaching 32 knots at places with thundery rain.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers and 3 kilometers or less at places with rain.
Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet, rising to 4 feet at places at times, while offshore it will be 3 to 6 feet, rising to 10 feet at places with rain.
