Doha, Qatar: Visit Qatar has announced the successful conclusion of the inaugural UFC Fight Night in Doha, held on November 22 at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena (ABHA Arena).
Organised in partnership with UFC, the event marked a milestone in Qatar’s expanding global sports calendar. It attracted more than 8,000 attendees, with all tickets sold out, reinforcing the country’s position as a premier destination for world-class entertainment events.
The event drew notable international attendance, welcoming visitors from the Kingdom of Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, United Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The first edition of “UFC Fight Night” in Doha featured a series of highly competitive bouts, with 14 fights involving 28 elite UFC athletes.
The evening culminated in a main event between Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker. Audiences also witnessed a distinguished line-up of six main cards and eight prelims featuring leading athletes across multiple weight divisions, including Belal Muhammad and Ian Machado Garry.
The programme also included a high-profile light-heavyweight contest between Volkan Oezdemir and Alonzo Menifield, an important welterweight matchup between Jack Hermansson and Myktybek Orolbai, and a notable flyweight bout between Kyoji Horiguchi and Tagir Ulanbekov. Together, these matches contributed to an exceptional evening of mixed martial arts competition.
This event enriched a vibrant season in Qatar, supported by the country’s growing tourism infrastructure and the rising demand for major international sports and entertainment experiences.
