Doha: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by Al Rayyan Municipality, continued its intensive inspection campaigns on all food establishments located within its geographical scope, with the aim of following up the implementation of Ministry Resolution No. 143 of 2022 on the controls for the use of plastic bags.
The campaign aimed to ensure that single-use plastic bags are not used, while biodegradable, paper, woven and cloth bags are allowed.
Since the issuance of the decision last June, the Ministry of Municipality has launched several awareness campaigns to inform the public of the requirements of the decision, the importance of its implementation, and its implications for the environment and public health.
