DOHA: Vodafone Qatar yesterday announced its new board structure with Abdullah bin Nasser Al Misnad appointed as the Chairman by the Board effective October 25, 2016.
Following the election of the three independent Director positions that took place at the company’s annual general assembly held on July 25, 2016 and the appointment of Vivek Badrinath to replace Serpil Timuray as one of the nominated representatives of Vodafone Group, the company announced following individuals as the members of the Board of Vodafone Qatar: Abdullah bin Nasser Al Misnad, Non Executive Member (Chairman); Akbar Al Baker , Non Executive Member (Vice-Chairman); Rashid Fahad Al Naimi, Non Executive Member; Nasser Al Marri, Non Executive Member; Vivek Badrinath, Non Executive Member ; John Otty, Non Executive Member; Gianluca Ventura, Non Executive Member and Ian Gray, Executive Member & Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Qatar.
Commenting on his appointment as Chairman of Vodafone Qatar’s Board, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Misnad commented “I am delighted to have the opportunity to Chair Vodafone Qatar’s Board.”
