RugbyL: Hull douse Dragons' fire in Challenge Cup

London - Hull Kingston Rovers saw off Catalans Dragons 32-26 in a see-saw Challenge Cup quarter-final on Thursday.

Rovers surged into a 24-0 lead after 28 minutes but then saw their French visitors cut the deficit to just 10 points in the first of this week's last-eight clashes.

But in-form winger Ken Sio's second try of the match and Josh Mantellato's sixth goal from seven attempts eased the nerves of Hull KR, looking to win the knockout trophy for just the second time following their 1980 success.

The Dragons left themselves with just too much of a mountain to climb as Rovers made it eight home wins out of 10 in 2015.
