The virtual event is scheduled to be held on Wednesday via the interactive ZOOM video communications platform, from 1pm until 2pm. During the webinar, a number of important topics will be addressed to enhance the knowledge of entrepreneurs and startups owners on issues like the tax card, and who are required to register with the GTA through the electronic tax portal, and define the categories involved in submitting tax returns.
Similarly, the event will explain the time period required by entrepreneurs to keep records and financial documents and the procedures to be followed in notifying the Authority in case of any changes that may affect their tax obligations. Likewise, entrepreneurs will be briefed on other related topics that are in their interest so that they have a comprehensive understanding of the state’s tax system.
Abdulla Faleh Al Saeed, Board Member and General Manager of Bedaya Center, said: “The regulations for the tax system are still new for entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and home businesses, and need more clarification and better interpretation.
Thanks to our cooperation with the General Tax Authority, this webinar will certainly educate project owners about the tax requirements to avoid any penalties. Moreover, during the webinar, we will be introducing the general concept of taxes and when they are imposed, methods of registration in the excise tax, and what are the best ways to file and pay excise tax returns, in addition to comprehensive information about income tax”.
