DOHA: After six months of gruelling competition, contestants of Hathab Equestrian Tour will face-off in the final challenge at Al Shaqab’s state-of-the-art main indoor arena from today.
A fierce competition is expected as country’s best riders will be looking to secure the top spots in the standings in the 12th and final round of the QR1m series.
The Big Tour sees race for supremacy among prominent riders Hamad Nasser Al Qadi and his closest opponents Nasser Al Ghazali, Saeed Nasser Al Qadi and Mubarak Yousuf Al Rumaihi who will eye podium spots.
In the Medium Tour, prominent rider Saeed Nasser Al Qadi is leading the points sheets while several others including Mohamed Sultan Al Suwaidi are looking to excel.
There is a tough battle for the top spot in the Small Tour with Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi, Mohamed Khalifa Al Baker and Abdulaziz Ghanim Al Nuaimi are involving in a race to reach top spot
Activities for families and children have also been specially organised for the last leg of the hugely popular series.
The organisers have also added plenty of food and beverage options  to tantalise the taste buds of discerning visitors.
Hathab Series is an initiative of H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee. The championship is jointly organised by Al Shaqab and Qatar Equestrian Federation
