Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, represented by the Department of Climate Change, participated in seminars and informal presentations organized by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, via video communication technology.

These events aimed to review the outlines of a summary narrative of a report for policy makers, sharing the climate change-resilient adaptation and development options contained in the Sixth Assessment Report of the relevant Working Group II, and collective work in this context.

The views and observations of all participating countries were also presented, discussions were held with the authors of the said evaluation report and experiences were exchanged prior to the official meetings to document and approve the summary of the report.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, based in Geneva, Switzerland, was established in 1988 to provide comprehensive assessments of the state of scientific, technical, social and economic understanding of climate change, its causes, potential impacts, and strategies to address such change.
