Doha: Al Shaqab-owned Sultan Al Shaqab won the gold medal in the Senior Stallion Championship while Da Magic Moment claimed gold in the Senior Mares’ Championship at the 25th Qatar National Arabian Horse Championship, organized by Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) at the Longines indoor arena of Al Shaqab, which concluded yesterday.

Gold Senior Stallions Championship winner Sultan Al Shaqab
Sultan Al Shaqab scored a total of 359 points (based on eight parameters including neck, grace, power and beauty) to beat Badi Athbah (silver - 348) and D Jaffer (bronze - 358).
In the Senior Mares’ C’ship, Da Magic Moment-owned by Nasser Mohammed MA Al Hajri scored 323 points. The purebred grey mare beat Al Wazna Al Shaqab (286) and bronze winner Najla Umm Aludham (294).
The Junior Colts C’ship gold was won by Ash’al Al Azz (264) while Gazwan Al Sraiya (271) got silver and Asayel Shanaar (254) bronze.
In the Junior Fillies C’ship, Shadia Al Nasser (207) claimed gold, D Henneyyah (205) silver and D Shafah (215) bronze.

Gold Senior Mares Championship was won by Da Magic Moment.
The Yearling Colts C’ship gold went to Habab Al Shaqab (250) while Ghaleb Al Jood (234) won silver and D Tumooh (242) bronze.
The Yearling Fillies C’ship saw Sab’ah Al Shahania, owned by HE Sheikha Iman Mohammed Khalifa Al Thani, fetched gold with 139 points ahead of Reem Al Jumail (silver, 145) and Naidah Al Nasser (bronze, 137).
