Doha: Al Gharafa have parted ways with midfielder Vladimir Weiss by mutual agreement.
Weiss, who had a successful career with Al Duhail, joined Al Gharafa in 2016. However, the Slovakian failed to live up to the expectations at Al Gharafa.
Al Gharafa are at the third spot in the QNB Stars League with 20 points from six victories, two draws, and three defeats.
Al Gharafa, who won the league in 2008, 2009, and 2010, are trying hard to return to glory days.
On Monday, Al Gharafa suffered a 5-1 loss against Xavi Hernandez-coached Al Sadd after AFC Asian Player of the Year Akram Afif scored a brilliant hat-trick. Sofiane Hanni was the lone scorer for Al Gharafa.
