Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent yesterday a cable to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, to express his condolences on the victims of the terrorist attack against a mosque in Northern Sinai, praying to Allah Almighty to have mercy on the victims’ souls and rest them in the Paradise. The Emir wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and reiterated Qatar’s strong condemnation of this brutal crime, which is contrary to all religious and human values and principles.
At least 230 people were killed and dozens wounded in a bomb attack on a mosque in Al Arish district in the northern Sinai Governorate of Egypt.
