Doha: Minister of Finance, H E Ali Shareef Al Emadi, yesterday participated in the extraordinary meeting of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, which was held online, to discuss the financial and economic implications of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The meeting discussed ways to further support the economy and enable private sector growth. The participants also addressed measures targeted towards supporting SMEs and other sectors directly affected by the pandemic, as well as precautionary measures to limit the impact of the virus on the financial and economic sectors.
