Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour (MoL) yesterday invited all entities and individuals wishing to apply for the prestigious Qatar Private Sector Nationalisation Award to attend a dedicated guidance workshop that will offer full clarity on every aspect of the programme.
The session, set for Sunday, March 1 at 9 pm at Waldorf Astoria West Bay, will provide comprehensive insight into the Award’s objectives, detailed evaluation criteria and streamlined application process, while answering all participant enquiries.
The invitation, posted on the Ministry’s official X account, comes less than a week after the formal launch of the 2026 Qatar Nationalisation Award for the Private Sector, established under Amiri Decree No 27 of 2025 and held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The Award recognises excellence across two main tracks, Institutions and Individuals, spanning nine key economic sectors: Financial Services, IT & Digital Transformation, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education, Tourism, Logistics & Services, Construction, and Food & Agriculture.
Individual awards comprise four core winners, Outstanding Scholar, Leading Qatari Woman, Himmah Ambassador, and Professional Initiative & Innovation.
There is additional 27 sectoral winners recognising the best Qatari employee in each sector based on potential, competence and leadership.
Institutional recognition includes seven core awards celebrating leadership in national talent recruitment and employment, best onboarding programmes for university and secondary-school graduates, empowerment of Qatari women, flexible work patterns, preparation of future leaders, and development of leadership skills. In addition, 27 sectoral awards will honour the top three organisations in each sector for outstanding performance in recruitment, training, empowerment, work environment and professional development.
The initiative aligns fully with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the “Empowering Qatar” National Plan. It builds on the Private Sector Nationalisation Law of 2024 and the National Strategy for an Effective and Highly Productive Workforce (2024–2030), which targets raising the Qatari workforce share from 17 percent to 20 percent.
Through partnerships with the private sector, 7,861 Qatari nationals and children of Qatari women have already secured productive employment across diverse sectors.
