Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) Index jumped 126.87 points, or 1.24 percent to close at 10,329.65 points, yesterday. The index has surged by 222 points in the past two trading sessions. The index had risen by 95 points to close at 10,202.78 points on Sunday.
The volume of shares traded increased to 238.68 million from 133 million yesterday and the value of shares increased to QR500m from QR310m on Sunday.
Indices of six sectors ended in the green zone, while one sector closed in the red zone yesterday. QSE Total Return Index gained 1.24 percent to close at 19,858.42 points.
