Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mannai, Executive VP, Human Capital, honouring a QP staff yesterday in Doha.

DOHA: Qatar Petroleum (QP) has honoured its 629 long-serving employees who have reached career milestones of between 10 and 15 years with the state-owned public corporation, said a statement yesterday.
The honouring ceremony was organised under the patronage of QP’s President & CEO Saad Sherida Al Kaabi.
The second part of QP’s annual Continuous Service Awards (CSA) gave recognition to 398 employees who have achieved 10 years of service thus far and 231 staff who have been part of the corporation for the past 15 years.
Speaking during the ceremony, Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mannai, Executive VP for Human Capital, congratulated the employees for achieving their employment milestones and thanked them for their services, commitment and dedication.
Al Mannai said: “It means a lot to us to witness the hard work and dedication of so many people. This is a not just a testimony to your devotion, but also to QP’s standing and reputation as an employer.”
He later presented each of the awardees with a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift as a token of gratitude for their long years of dedicated service with QP. A number of Vice Presidents and top officials also took part in distributing certificates and gifts to honored employees from their respective directorates or departments. Yesterday’s CSA Ceremony was the second to be held by QP this year to honour its long-serving employees. It followed the first CSA Ceremony, which was held last week, to recognize a total of 225 employees who have already served between 20 and 40 years with the corporation.
In addition, as part of this year’s CSA Ceremony, a total of 529 QP employees will also be receiving Certificates of Appreciation for having been employed with the corporation for the past 5 years.
Organised by QP’s Public Relations and Communications Department in partnership with the Human Capital Directorate, the annual CSA Ceremony was held at the convention hall of the new QP Headquarters in West Bay, and is considered as an important way by which QP recognises the valuable contribution of its employees in the corporation’s continued growth and in the continued development of Qatar’s oil and gas industry.
