Doha: Qatar players continued to shine at the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival 2022, with Hussein Aziz claiming two wins in the Masters category, yesterday.

After beating India’s Ritviz Parab in the fifth round, Aziz prevailed over Norwegian Resting Evind Olaf to collect more points.

The fourth round in the U-16 category saw Ibrahim Al Janahi defeating Sakshi Kaushal of India while Khaled Al Jamaat suffered a defeat against his opponent. Al Jamaa then tied with UAE’s Fahd Abdulaziz while Al Janahi fell against Bahrain’s Tayseer Hamza.
