Doha, Qatar: Assistant Director of the Arab and International Police Communication Department at the Ministry of Interior Major Staff Mohammed Abdullah Al Buainain, has highlighted the importance of the Security Command and Staff Programme, describing it as one of the most significant advanced strategic programmes offered by the Police Academy to develop security and military leaders capable of addressing contemporary security challenges.

Speaking in an interview with Qatar Television yesterday, Al Buainain said the programme is designed to enhance strategic thinking and leadership capabilities among security personnel by combining academic knowledge with practical training.

He explained that the programme features both theoretical and applied components. The academic curriculum covers subjects including public administration, strategic thinking, security leadership, crisis and disaster management, while the practical aspect includes a series of exercises and realistic crisis simulation scenarios that enable participants to test pre-established plans and strengthen their decision-making and operational readiness.

Al Buainain noted that the programme reflects the Police Academy’s commitment to preparing highly qualified security leaders equipped to respond effectively to evolving security challenges through advanced professional education.

He also expressed appreciation to Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, for his continued patronage of the programme and his commitment to supporting the qualification and development of security leaders in Qatar.
