Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) benchmark index lost 141.35 points, or 1.43 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 9,730.52 points.
Trading value during last week decreased by 7.01 percent to reach QR1.78bn compared to QR1.92bn.
Trading volume decreased by 17.98 percent to reach 72.65 million shares, as against 88.57 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 1.04 percent, to reach 45,373 transactions as compared to 44,906 transactions. Market cap fell by 2.09 percent to reach QR538.19bn as compared to QR549.65bn at the end of previous week, reports QNA.
The Industries sector led traded value last week with 45.66 percent of the total traded value.
Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 19.99 percent. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 18.20 percent and Real Estate sector accounted 9.27 percent.
Industries sector led traded volume last week with 47.66 percent of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 22.11 percent. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 14.62 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 7.06 percent.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index dropped 27.11 points, or 0.28 percent, yesterday compared to Wednesday’s closing.
