Doha: The Ministry of Public Health said that it has not issued any warning or post saying using some drugs might increase the possibility of getting Covid-19 infection.
The Ministry urged all community members to obtain news and information from official sources, through the ministry’s website, and through its official approved accounts.
An incorrect post in Arabic was being shared in social media with MoPH logo saying as per WHO warnings medicines with certain ingredients have the wrong influence on Covid-19 and it falsely said that these drugs will “activate the virus”.
Many such fake posts, which comes from dubious sources, are being shared in various social media platforms especially in chats. Authorities have been warning against sharing such incorrect news and forwards, which is against the laws and can invite strict actions.
