Qatar’s No. 2 ranked player Sayed Azlan Amjad will lead the  host nation as the PSA Qatar Closed Satellite Squash Tournament kicks off today at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

The event will see the participation of five countries including Qatar, India, Egypt, Iraq, and Pakistan

For Amjad, the first hurdle has already been cleared as he has received a bye in the first round.

This event is organised by Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) in cooperation with the Professional Squash Association (PSA).

Tournament Director, Saad Al Mohannadi said; “This competition is the main tool in the development of young Qatari players as it provides the best chances of coming against leading international players.”

Mohannadi also expressed his hope that the Qatari players will achieve good results during the four-day event which concludes on February 27.
