DOHA: Qatar-UAE Exchange has launched an online remittance service in Qatar. With this service, customers can also avoid standing in long queues or visiting branches for transactions.
Residents of Qatar can instantly transfer money from Qatar to anywhere in the world from the comfort of their personal space —be it from home, office or while on the move by just a click on their laptop, PC or mobile, said Edison Fernandez (pictured), Country Head, Qatar-UAE Exchange.
There is a maximum limit of QR100,000 per transaction or per month that can be transferred. Customers can conveniently pay through a debit card issued by any banks in Qatar. Customers can also check the transaction progress and details of the last five transactions.
An automated email and SMS confirmation will reach the customers mobile after the transaction is credited or beneficiary has collected the amount. The exchange rate offered through online remittance service will be better than the exchange rate provided at the branches. There are no additional charges or fees in Qatar for online service usage. The standard remitting charges per transaction is charged from the customer while sending money online from Qatar to the beneficiary residing anywhere in the world.
Fernandez said that the cutting-edge security technologies including Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encryption methods ensure complete online protection, a protocol used by all responsible websites on the Internet that prevents any unauthorised person from accessing the customer’s account details. Information provided by the customers is stored in a secure database on private servers which are used only for remittance purposes.
Qatar-UAE Exchange has always strived towards customer convenience. The transaction processes are quick and hassle free. The online remittance service is a product of Qatar-UAE Exchange, the Qatar arm of the UAE Exchange, the leading remittance, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand, which has its presence in 31 countries with over 140 correspondent banking relationships. With the assistance of Xpress Money, customers can send cash to over 100,000 agent locations across the globe.
