Doha: Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator has confirmed it has renewed its partnership with Qatar Football Association (QFA) for another two years.
The two entities cemented the extended partnership at a signing ceremony on Sunday at Ooredoo Headquarters, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani, CEO of Ooredoo and the President of the QFA Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani and senior executives from both sides.
Under the agreement, Ooredoo will be Official Telecommunications Partner of the Qatar National Team, the Qatar eNation team, and the Amir Cup for the next two years.
The extension of the partnership is the latest in a long line of agreements between Ooredoo and QFA, as the two entities work together to promote football in Qatar as the country prepares to host the major global sporting tournament in 2022.
