Doha, Qatar: Several Ambassadors in Qatar have continued to applaud the speech given by Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani during the inauguration of the first ordinary session of the second legislative term of the Shura Council on Tuesday, characterizing it as “one that balances robust economic diversification and human capital development with a focus on strengthening the social fabric and promoting self-reliance among our youth.”

Ambassador of Germany to Qatar, H E Oliver Owcza

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for the address delivered by H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al‑Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, at the opening of the first ordinary session of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar.

H H’s vision for the coming period, particularly in highlighting the energy transition, resonates strongly with our shared goals for a sustainable future. The growth of the non-hydrocarbon sectors in Qatar and an emphasis on cleaner energy pathways reflects a forward-looking commitment that Germany values deeply. H H‘s remarks reinforce Qatar’s role not only as a supplier of energy but as a partner in the global transformation towards decarbonisation.

We look forward to strengthening the partnership between Germany and Qatar, particularly in the fields of clean energy, innovation and global peace efforts."

Ambassador of Australia to Qatar, H E Shane Flanagan

It was an honour to attend the opening session of the new session of the Shura Council to listen to the address of the Amir of the State of Qatar, H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

I was particularly struck by the message from His Highness that ‘human capital is the true wealth of any nation’. This message aligns with the priority we attach to the education sector in Australia’s engagement with Qatar. Earlier this week students commenced the foundation year at Barzan University College which offers the opportunity to study Australian tertiary qualifications in Qatar for the first time. The offerings are very future focused and include cybersecurity, software development, artificial intelligence, and engineering. Three years from now these students will enter Qatar’s workforce with skills aligned to Qatar’s priorities as outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030. This will mark the beginning of a pipeline of talented graduates.

Ambassador of Malaysia to Qatar, H E Mohammad Faisal Razali

Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani delivered an inspiring and comprehensive speech at the inauguration of the Shura Council’s new session.

His Highness clearly mapped out a holistic national vision, one that brilliantly balances robust economic diversification and human capital development with a vital focus on strengthening the social fabric and promoting self-reliance among our youth. The commitment to placing family value as the cornerstone of development is truly commendable.

This vision provides a powerful roadmap for deepening Malaysia-Qatar bilateral relations, especially in strategic sectors such as Islamic finance, digital economy, halal, and green energy collaboration, ensuring mutual prosperity for both nations.

May God the Almighty grant His Highness with continued wisdom and success in leading the State of Qatar to further distinction.

Ambassador of Kyrgyz Republic to Qatar, H E Marat Nuraliev

Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s speech outlined Qatar’s clear strategic vision for sustainable national development and principled foreign policy. Qatar continues to demonstrate leadership rooted in balance, responsibility, and commitment to justice.
