Doha: In preparation for the resumption of sports activity such as QNB Stars League matches and third round of the second division, Coronavirus (COVID-19) tests for coaches, referees, department's staff members and buses drivers began today as per the schedule.

The medical tests took place in the presence of Hani Ballan, member of the Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Director of the Referees Department; Khalid Al Kuwari, the Director of Marketing and Communication Department; and Ali Al Salat, the Head of Media Department.

The Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Hall hosted the medical tests that took place in the two halls at one time according to the general plan and protocol developed by the QFA and approved by the Ministry of Public Health.

These tests aim to ensure the health and safety of all, in addition to reducing the risk of spreading the virus among members of teams and players during the return to training and matches as well as following all preventive and precautionary measures in accordance with the approved protocol.
