Doha: The second edition Build Your House 2021 (BYH 2021) exhibition which will be held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani will feature about 200 companies showcasing the best products and technologies in the fields of construction, architectural design, decoration, and contracting, in addition to smart solution technologies and green building solutions for designing, building, and renovating houses.
The event, which will be organised by NeXTFairs at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from March 22-14, will also have a wide international participation from Kuwait, India, Oman, Turkey and Pakistan, said Rawad Sleem (pictured), General Manager of NeXTFairs.
In a statement, Sleem said that the 2021 state budget which allocates QR37bn for the development of the citizens’ lands shows a positive reflection of government spending on construction, design, and contracting, and reiterates that the development of citizens’ lands is a top priority for the Qatari government.
He further explained that the development of citizens’ lands, the completion of the infrastructure projects, and the projects related to 2022 FIFA World Cup will stimulate the recovery of the construction, design, and contracting sectors. This will also be supported by the momentum of government spending on projects, with the active participation of the private sector.
Sleem went on to reiterate that the launch of the exhibition will coincide with the recovery phase from the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has severely affected the global economy.
He added that the “BYH 2021” is expected to be much larger than the previous one, as it seeks to attract more exhibitors, experts, and new sectors, such as companies specialised in smart solution technology and green building, in addition to the public services sector.
“BYH 2021 will also organise a series of monthly webinars preceding the actual exhibition to cover all the interests of the target audience, in addition to holding workshops that allow participants to build partnerships and relationships with industry leaders and specialists, as well as to obtain a certificate of participation. The exhibition also allocates a special area for young Qatari designers to showcase their creative work,” he added.
