Doha: Ooredoo has confirmed it has renewed its partnership with Qatar Football Association for another two years.
The two entities cemented the extended partnership at a signing ceremony on Sunday November 21, 2021 at Ooredoo HQ, in the presence of Ooredoo’s CEO and the President of the Qatar Football Association, and senior executives from both sides.
Under the agreement, Ooredoo will be Official Telecommunications Partner of the Qatar National Team, the Qatar eNation team, and the Amir Cup for the next two years.
The extension of the partnership is the latest in a long line of agreements between Ooredoo and QFA, as the two entities work together to promote football in Qatar as the country prepares to host the major global sporting tournament in 2022.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Thani, CEO of Ooredoo, said: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with Qatar Football Association; football is very much in the limelight in Qatar at the moment, and the promotion of a healthy, active lifestyle is a continuing priority for Ooredoo. The renewal of our partnership with QFA can only benefit football in Qatar, as we work together to ensure we provide every support to our footballers and offer an unrivalled fan experience to all who want to watch. We look forward to another two years of a successful partnership with QFA and to showing the world just what we can do at the major event in 2022.”
