Qatar yesterday expressed its strong condemnation of the explosion of a truck in a market in the Iraqi southern city of Kirkuk, which resulted in a number deaths and injuries. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of its motives and reasons. The Foreign Ministry affirmed the solidarity of the State of Qatar with Iraq in all measures taken to maintain its security and stability. The statement expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, the government and the people of Iraq, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
