Qatar, Japan exchange visa waiver for passports' holders

Tokyo: Qatar and Japan announced Wednesday the beginning of mutual visa exemption's procedures for holders of diplomatic and special passports from the two countries and the granting of entry permits to airports for 90 days as of January 2018.

The official minutes were exchanged between the two countries during an official ceremony held at the Japanese Foreign Ministry in the presence of HE Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan al Hammadi and HE Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau at the Japanese Foreign Ministry Hiroshi Oka.

The exchange ceremony was also attended by HE Ambassador of Qatar to Japan Yousef bin Mohammed Bilal, HE Director of Asian Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, members of the delegation accompanying HE the Foreign Ministry's Secretary General and senior Japanese Foreign Ministry's officials.
